Hi! I’m Jean-Marie,

I am passionate about the field of mental health and general physical well-being. With a background as a qualified nurse and an honours degree in Psychology, I aim to empower individuals to overcome the destructive thinking patterns which hold them back in life.

 

My main fields of interest are addiction recovery, trauma, stress and anxiety management, as well as couple counselling. Children falling on the Autism Spectrum Disorder are also of particular interest to me.

I worked for several years as a nurse, in a spinal and neurological intensive care unit, while completing my honours degree in Psychology. My internship was completed at a hospital, mainly with head trauma and spinal injury patients. My practical training also involved volunteering at a pregnancy and crisis centre. I worked for four years at an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, assisting them to obtain their registration and with the compilation of their life skill program. I currently run my own practise and offer an outpatient addiction program.
